Develops standards and empowers development of technology, software, and best practices in all areas of electric power and energy including generation, transmission, distribution and utilization to provide a reliable, resilient, safe, cost-effective and sustainable AC and DC electricity supply system to the end-user. PES focuses on current power system infrastructures and technological advancements in energy resources, smart grid and smart cities for the betterment of society. Our Story
IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Chapter of Sri Lanka is one of the most active chapters of the country. The membership ranges from students, academics and researchers to electrical engineers working in the industry. There are student PES chapters in the universities of Sri Lanka and these cater to the needs of the students studying power and energy. The society chapter bridges the students, the young professionals, with the most senior members and provides a platform to collaborate, network and sets up a healthy environment to enrich the power and energy sector of Sri Lanka
